Is a volcanic mineral that has been expanded by heating it at high temperatures. Although Perlite has no nutritional value, it has tremendous capacity to hold water on its irregular surfaces. Perlite can be mixed with or added to soil, soil mixes, and seed starting mixes both indoor and out. An excellent product to add to soils and soil mixes.
